WE'LL TAKE TEAMS BACK TO UGANDA ONE DAY! WANT TO COME ALONG? START HERE!

DOES IT COST MONEY TO BE ON THE TRIP?

Great question! and the answer in nutshell is NOPE… but you do have to fundraise $6,500 Australian Dollars – trust us, you can do that!
Minimum fundraising per person: AUD$6,500.
Our combined fundraising will cover ongoing costs of the new learning centre in Busubi, new projects in the village and your flights, in-country transfers, food & accomodation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN THE TEAM

A completed application form & AUD$500 donation to secure your place.
You will need to make the initial AUD$500 donation within a week of your application being accepted! You can either fundraise in advance or kindly donate out of your own pocket – completely up to you! Please be aware that this initial donation is non-refundable but is tax deductible (you will be issued a receipt upon payment).

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FUNDRAISING?

Each Followings team member must raise a minimum amount of AUD$6,500.00 to participate in the trip to Uganda. If you do not reach this target, you won’t be with us! Fundraising is a great way to engage with your community and the methods of doing so are almost unlimited: Pot lucks, bake sales, movie nights, trivia nights, auctions, raffles – there are great fits for every one…

WE KNOW IT CAN BE DAUNTING TO RAISE MONEY…..

And that’s why we’re here to help! For 12 weeks leading up to our trip, we’ll meet via online video conference 8 times (most likely on a Saturday depending on timezones) to support you in your fundraising quest! You’re not doing this alone, we promise! You’ll also get to know your entire team before we land – so we can get straight to work upon arrival in Uganda!

AGE REQUIREMENTS

The minimum age to participate is 18 years old, although you can be accompanied by an adult* if you are under the age of 18.
There are no age restrictions for over 18’s. It is up to the individual!

WHERE WILL WE STAY IN UGANDA AND WHAT KIND OF FOOD WILL WE EAT?

There’s no better way to experience life in rural Uganda than to live in a village with a local family! We’ll have comfortable beds in secure houses with mosquito nets and warm blankets. We’ll devour 3 square meals a day full of vegetables, rice, potatoes, and chicken… and don’t forget the chapati, delicious Ugandan circles of bread, and all the fresh fruit.
